Moderate 4.3 quake hits near Sisak, City of Sisak, Sisak-Moslavina, Croatia

4.3 quake 24 Jul 3:43 pm (GMT +2)
The event was filed by the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 4.3 earthquake as well.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake was probably felt by many people in the area of the epicenter. It should not have caused significant damage, other than objects falling from shelves, broken windows, etc.
In Jazvenik (pop. 150) located 1 km from the epicenter, Petrinja (pop. 13,900) 7 km away, and Sisak (pop. 35,700) 7 km away, the quake should have been felt as light shaking.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Popovača (pop. 12,000) located 26 km from the epicenter, Velika Gorica (pop. 35,100) 29 km away, Sesvete (pop. 52,400) 39 km away, Donji grad (pop. 37,000) 43 km away, Zagreb (pop. 699,000) 43 km away, and Stenjevec (pop. 41,300) 47 km away.
Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Zapresic (pop. 19,700) located 55 km from the epicenter.
