Moderate magnitude 4.9 quake hits 92 km northeast of Hinatuan, Philippines in the morning

The event was filed by the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency which listed the quake at magnitude 5.2. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 5.1.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Arrasasan (pop. 5,100) located 86 km from the epicenter, Marihatag (pop. 3,800) 86 km away, Hinatuan (pop. 10,100) 92 km away, Gamut (pop. 3,500) 95 km away, Barcelona (pop. 3,500) 96 km away, Tago (pop. 6,300) 98 km away, and Bislig City (pop. 67,600) 102 km away.
